Cable Tray
Cable tray is one of the most essential and widely used equipment for guiding, properly holding, and distributing electricity in industrial and commercial environments.
Surface wiring in buildings causes disorder and complexity. This issue becomes especially important in industrial environments and in conditions where telecommunication and fiber optic cables, server room and computer network cables, and electrical conduits are routed in different paths. To create better order by grouping cables and determining their route, equipment called cable tray is used.
According to the National Electrical Code, a cable tray system consists of a set of trays or trays along with relevant sections and fittings, creating a structural system for transferring and supporting cables. Cable trays transfer cables neatly and consistently, while allowing easy inspection and modifications.
Generally, cable trays are metallic or plastic (PVC) structures installed along cable routes, holding cables inside them, and if necessary fixed to the base or side using special clamps. Depending on location, cable type, environment, light, and temperature, they come in many variations. Despite this variety, all types must resist moisture and corrosion and allow ventilation for cables.
